I use mine (without a handle) on an old mouse mat or pricking mat so that the tool can prick the card/paper easily
Pricks one pattern which can be embroidered 3 different ways - use Sew Easy Floss or 3 strands embroidery thread.
Use to add a pattern to your cards/scrapbook pages or to attach papers/card to a base sheet
