Designed for use in storage sidings & fiddle yards. It makes the removal of a loco from the head of an incoming train and its replacement at the other end a quick & easy operation.Once in position on the track, power is transferred to the Loco Lift so that the loco may be driven onto the unit under its own power. After transfering the loco to the other end and coupling up, the whole train may be driven through the Loco Lift.
Eliminates direct handling of the loco so protecting the paintwork.
Makes rerailing simple.

Powerful solenoid point motor for new model Hornby points that have the sliding bar mechanism. May be mounted above or below the baseboard (requires Point Motor Housing R8015 for mounting above). Comes supplied with metal extension arm for mounting motor underneath the baseboard. Powered from the accessory power output on your controller (or other 16v AC supply). Requires 'passing contact' lever switch R044 (not included).

Designed to be positioned either side of any Hornby point, this surface mounted point motor allows for the convenient electrical operation of points. Maybe be used with the Hornby R8216 Digital Point / Accessory decoder or for DC analogue operation, the R044 Lever Switch.
